Elder Nelson's Mission in Perth Australia

This week has been awesome. So on Monday we drove two hours out to visit wave rock. (yep our area is that big, we only made it half way across our area) Wave rock which is a big rock that looks like a wave, was awesome. we hiked around that and then went to a wildlife park and saw kangaroos, koalas, wallabies, wombats, crazy birds, a camel we named George, and black swans. We got to pet the koala, a wallaby, and George the camel. It was awesome. Then to finish it up we hiked up another huge rock. What a pday. Also this week we went to Kattaning and caught up with our two investigators. We taught Tom the plan of salvation. When we went to visit Darrell he told us he hadn't read the Book of Mormon yet and asked if we could read it with him. We were like of course. We had an awesome scripture study with him.   So this week was one of the coolest weeks so far. On Tuesday we headed down to Katanning. As we were walking down the streets we saw a potential investigator, Darrell, and he stopped us and told us to come back in 30 minutes. We came back and had a great discussion with him about the Book of Mormon and  the restoration as we walked around a park. We invited him to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it and he said he would. After that we visited a part member family we recently found and had another really good discussion with the partner Tom. He told us that he felt a lack of purpose in life and that those things that he has done in his past didn't seem to bring him lasting happiness. He told us he was ready to change for his children and try something new out. We all felt the spirit so strong as we talked to him about the restoration and how God is our loving Heavenly Father. So this week we have been working and praying really hard to get some investigators to come to church. On Saturday we still had yet to find someone to come but we had a lesson with a recent convert and her teenage children who are not members. The daughter said she would come and help her mum in nursery. After church the branch president asked the daughter to be the primary music director and she said yes so she will be coming back to church every week. #miracles Hopefully we will be able to teach her and the brother and have them baptized in the coming weeks.  Anyway on Tuesday we have district meeting and usually we skype in but this time we had to just call. While tracting this week we ran into a bunch of Jehovah’s Witnessess. There are a lot of JWs in Western Australia. We also met some pretty interesting people. We met one woman who told us she was a prophet and that we all need to stop going to church. She also told us that the Mormon church was wrong because there w...
