This week has been so spiritually uplifting. The only bad news is that one of our investigators and his less active partner are moving north to York which is less than 20 km out of our area so we passed their information to the sisters in the area and hopefully they will continue to work towards baptism.
This week on Thursday we headed back up to Armadale to do exchanges with the Kelmscott Elders. Later that night the other Elders dropped us off to do some contacting and Elder Anitema and I started walking around and talked to a guy from Pakistan and gave him a Book of Mormon. Later when we went back to the meeting spot the other Elders were gone. So we started walking around and continued looking for people to talk to and also for the other Elders. We started talking to a less active in a garage when all of a sudden Elder Anitema sees the car and runs out and whistles at it and from all the way down the block they heard it and turned around. It was so funny.
On Friday we had zone conference at Rockingham and it was awesome. One of the big things in the Australia Perth Mission is the Summit. When Pres. Fife first got called he received revelation that "the day will come when it will not be uncommon for a companionship of missionaries to baptize as many as 20 people in a month" In this zone conference he told us that we each need to make adjustments so that we can become the faithful missionaries that are willing to give our all to reach the summit. God has promises for each of us and as we exercise our faith by making those adjustments each day He will help us become more than we ever thought we could.
After zone conference we had interviews with Pres. and he gave us permission to go to the temple at 7:30 because since we are out in the country we can’t go to the temple every transfers. So later that night we went to the temple and what a blessing it is to worship there. There is a spirit of peace that you feel in the temple.
The next day we had a stake service activity. All the missionaries in the zone and about 30 members got together and painted some of the fences in the city. After we drove back to Narrogin.
We are excited to get back into the work here in Narrogin and look forward to seeing the miracles that God does. Hope everyone is having a good week.
Love,
Elder Nelson
