Two weeks of letters (I forgot to post last week)

So this week has been pretty crazy. Last Monday as we were visiting people we got a call from President Fife. He told us that there were going to be some emergency transfers and that Elder Richins would be going up to be a zone leader in Dianella. We would be driving up to Perth the next morning to do the switch. After that we went back to the flat so he could pack. The next morning Pres. called again and told us that Elder Richins would be going instead to be a zone leader in north coast where he would be whitewashing the area with another new zone leader and they would be training a golden. Oh boy that’s going to be fun. Since Elder Richins was leaving I was the new driver. We drove up the 2 and a half hours to the mission office and then I got my new companion. He is Elder Taupau and he is a Samoan that was born and raised in Melbourne. He finishes this transfer so I will be staying in Narrogin next transfer and getting a new companion. (YES I love Narrogin)
Anyway this week we have been smashing the work. Elder Taupau is an awesome missionary. We were able to find 3 new investigators this week. So here is a cool story. We were driving along and we had the prompting to visit a potential investigator. We got to her house and she pulls up at the same time as us and in the back of her car she has a huge and heavy doll house. She told us she had no idea how she was going to be able to carry it inside until we showed up and helped her. After we taught her the plan of salvation and invited her to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if the things we said were true and she said she would. She also said she would be coming to the branch Christmas party this Saturday. #miracle It is exciting to see the Lord hastening the work here in Narrogin. Hope everyone has a great week and remember to #LIGHTtheWORLD as this Christmas season starts up.
Love everyone's favorite Aussie missionary

(In case you were wondering, whitewashing means two missionaries going into an area together without someone who already has been in that area. A golden is a brand new missionary.)

So this week has been really great. At the beginning of this week we were able to put an older lady on date for baptism who had been meeting with the missionaries for ages. Then we also met with one of our investigators Joseline in Katanning and met her brother Emm. We taught them both the gospel of Jesus Christ and invite them to be baptized. Emm said he would and they also said that they would come to church. Unfortunately they don't have a car and all the members down in Katanning weren't able to make it to church so they weren't able to get a ride. What a blessing it is to have a car and a church nearby. For many of us it is easy to make it to church and it is such a blessing.

Also this week we got permission to head up to Perth to go to the temple. One of Elder Taupau's recent converts was going in for his endowment with his wife. It was an awesome experience. The temple is also such a great blessing.
On Friday we had our Branch Christmas party. It started in the morning and we got split up into 4 teams. We were each given tasks to do around the town to #LIGHTtheWORLD. We dropped of a present to a less active, gave cookies to the pharmacies, returned trolleys (shopping carts) at Coles and also gave a gift card to a random person. It was a lot of fun and helped the members to step out of their comfort zone.
I hope you all have a great week and I would love to hear if you guys have any cool experiences with #LIGHTtheWORLD.

Love,
Elder Nelson
