This week has been exciting. On Tuesday, we had District meeting and since we are out in country we skype in with the senior couple, the Bennetts. This one was fun because the Mission President, Pres Fife, showed up unexpected. During the meeting he told all of us about transfers and he told me that I would be training a new missionary. I’m so excited to get some golden fire (we call new missionaries goldens) down here in the Narrogin branch.  Also on the 26 of January was Australia day. It’s like the 4th of July but not as big and everything was shut down. Also on the 26 was my 6 month mark. The mission has been such a great experience so far and it gets better each day.  Anyway, this week was Elder Pryor's last before he went home to Queensland. On his very last day in Narrogin we were driving back to the flat and we saw a guy lying on the ground next to a fence and above him there was a massive dent in the fence. At first we thought there was a fight and he was...
This week has been exciting and an adventure. So on Monday, we visited a less active member and as we talked he shared with us how he had been going through some really hard times and nothing seemed to help. We shared with him that Jesus Christ understands each of our struggles and through His atonement we can find peace and joy as we go through trials.  As we spoke the Spirit testified to him and he told us that the things that we shared have made more sense then everything else he has been told by doctors and professionals and that he knows he needs to turn to God. It was such an awesome moment and the Spirit was so strong. Then later as we talked one of the children picked up the car keys that had been sitting next to me on the couch and gave them to the member. He told us that they had been looking for the keys for 3 hours before we got there and had pulled the couch apart looking for them. he then told us if they had found the keys they would have been gone when we tried ...
This week we have done a lot of traveling around our area. On Tuesday after district meeting we drove 30 mins south to Wagin and did some finding. we met an aboriginal couple that invited us in and we gave them a Book of Mormon and got a return appointment to come and teach them. on Wednesday we went an hour south to Katanning and visited some investigators. One of our investigators told us that she wouldn't be able to come to church but that the rest of her family wanted to come. Unfortunately we were not able to get them a ride. On Thursday we drove down an hour south west to Darkan with the senior couple to visit a less active family. On Friday we headed back out to Katanning a did service for an investigator. We cleared their back yard of weeds that were almost as tall as me. Then we had dinner with most of the members that live in Katanning. Then on Saturday we traveled 30 north to Pingelly. We were prompted to go follow up with some potentials we had. We k...
Gday everyone. Hope all is going well. This new year has been an adventure so far. So on Wednesday we headed down to Katanning and had some great lessons with investigators. One of the investigators we are working with has been wanting to come to church and hasn't been able to get a ride but we found out this week she was able to get a car. The Lord blesses us for our righteous desires (and sometimes with a car). After our lessons we were walking around and talking to people when we got a call from a member in Perth. She told us that Pres Monson had passed away. It was sad to hear but I know that he is able to be with his wife again and that we all will eventually be resurrected.  Also this week we had to move three big motors into another shed. The motors were super old but had been restored and each weighed around 600 kilos (around 1300 lbs) They were heavy.  Then later this week we were talking to another of our investigators. She lives with her partner and they ...
