This week has been exciting. On Tuesday, we had District meeting and since we are out in country we skype in with the senior couple, the Bennetts. This one was fun because the Mission President, Pres Fife, showed up unexpected. During the meeting he told all of us about transfers and he told me that I would be training a new missionary. I’m so excited to get some golden fire (we call new missionaries goldens) down here in the Narrogin branch.

Also on the 26 of January was Australia day. It’s like the 4th of July but not as big and everything was shut down. Also on the 26 was my 6 month mark. The mission has been such a great experience so far and it gets better each day.

Anyway, this week was Elder Pryor's last before he went home to Queensland. On his very last day in Narrogin we were driving back to the flat and we saw a guy lying on the ground next to a fence and above him there was a massive dent in the fence. At first we thought there was a fight and he was thrown into the fence but we found out that he was just super drunk and had fallen and headbutted the fence. So moral of the story is don’t drink, because it’s bad for your body, your head, your balance, and peoples fences.

On Saturday, we drove up to Perth to the mission office to drop Elder Pryor off. Since the new missionaries come in on Wednesday, I was given Elder Given (see what I did there) who is also training and his companion was also going home. He is working in Kalgoorlie which is another country area 7 hours out by train. We will be companions until Thursday when we get the goldens. After we did the switch we drove back down to Narrogin.

I hope everyone has a great week.
Love,
Elder Nelson
