This week has been exciting and an
adventure. So on Monday, we visited a less active member and as we talked he
shared with us how he had been going through some really hard times and nothing
seemed to help. We shared with him that Jesus Christ understands each of our
struggles and through His atonement we can find peace and joy as we go through
trials. As we spoke the Spirit testified to him and he told us that the
things that we shared have made more sense then everything else he has been
told by doctors and professionals and that he knows he needs to turn to God. It
was such an awesome moment and the Spirit was so strong. Then later as we
talked one of the children picked up the car keys that had been sitting next to
me on the couch and gave them to the member. He told us that they had been
looking for the keys for 3 hours before we got there and had pulled the couch
apart looking for them. he then told us if they had found the keys they would
have been gone when we tried to visit. It was such an awesome miracle.
Also later this week we went with
one of our investigators, an old Maori guy named Jack, to a farm and picked up
2 sheep. We took them and helped him kill, skin, gut, and cut them up. Let me tell
you that was an experience. The best part was that we got to take a big bag of
mutton home to eat.
On Sunday, the stake president came
but recently we changed the start time for sacrament meeting from 9 to 10 and
he forgot so when we got to church he had been waiting there for an hour. It
was all good though and he gave an awesome talk about miracles. Before he began
he had Elder Pryor get up and bear his testimony as this was his last Sunday.
Anyway hope all is going well. It is
exciting that we have a new prophet and in a couple months we will be able to
sustain him and hear from him at conference.
