Golden Fire

Man this week has been crazy. So on Monday Elder Given and I went and hiked Yilliminning Rock which is a really big rock. It was pretty cool. Then on Tuesday night we traveled up to Perth and stayed with the zone leaders. The next morning we headed up to the mission office and had a training the trainers meeting. There were six of us there to train. After the meeting all three of us elders that were training got to stay with the zone leaders by the mission office. Then later that night president gave us permission to go to the temple because we were all out in country. Man I love the temple and it is definitely a great blessing to have the opportunity to attend.
The very next day we got to the mission office and waited for our goldens to arrive. When they came we lined up facing each other and Pres Fife called out the golden’s name and who was training them. So my companion is Elder Mejia and he is from Melbourne but his parents are Filipino. He is super awesome and he has that golden fire. Once we got our new companions we had training from Pres and Sis Fife about the importance of the Spirit in the work. Then after lunch we headed down to Narrogin to start smashing the work.
So this week we received a referral about a man who wanted to read the Book of Mormon. This is the first referral we have received in Narrogin in ages so I was pretty hyped. We have yet to meet him but he sounded pretty keen when we texted so we will see how it goes.
One of the miracles we had this week is that a less active recent convert showed up to church and was able pass the sacrament for the first time. He also received his temple recommend so he will be able to go do baptisms for the dead this month. Also this week while we were in Katanning we were doing comp study a man who we knew came by and started talking to us. He started talking about how he wanted to get baptized and overcome his addictions so we were able to start the addiction recovery program with him.

Anyway hope all is going well.
Love
Elder Nelson

Ps. We saw a kangaroo fight and it was so cool.
