So it has been a pretty awesome week down in the great Australia Perth Mission. So at the beginning of this week we were visiting with one of our investigators and we learned that there was another member in Narrogin that we did not know. We visited them and and they fed us dinner. It was awesome.  Then late Wednesday night, we drove up to Perth and had exchanges with the elders up there on Thursday. I went with Elder Christofferson whos dad is the cousin of the apostle. (so I got my connections). So in the morning we went and did service for a less active in the ward. Apparently the sisters in the ward set up the service for us but they forgot to tell us that the member didn't have a mower or whipper-snipper (weed wacker) so we had to just use our hands.  On Friday, we had our zone conference which was super awesome. President Fife talked about the story of Caleb in the Bible when the Israelites leave Egypt. Before they entered the promise land they ...

This week we did a lot of service. Our branch is having its 40th anniversary this week so we had a branch activity to clean up the chapel. So we got to weed, dig holes, and spread wood chips inside the garden. One thing i love about being out here in the country is that everyone has really nice gardens and so we are always going and pulling weeds around the town. One morning we went and pulled weeds in the rain here in Narrogin and on Friday we went down to Katanning and pulled out a bunch of plants. Sometimes if we are lucky the people we do service for have fruit trees and we get to have fruit right off the trees. I tried figs for the first time and the real fresh fruit is so much better than fig newtons. Also this week we were able to start the quit smoking program with one of our investigators. One of my favorite parts of beings a missionary is teaching others the restored gospel truths and seeing a change happen in their life. Each of us has a great opportunity t...

This week is the start of the new transfers and luckily both Elder Mejia and I will be staying in Narrogin. So this week we headed down to Katanning and we were able to meet with one of our investigators that we haven't seen in a while. We talked to her about baptism and we were able to put her on date. Then we invited her to church and she came. One of the members brought her and she stayed for all three hours. It was awesome and so hopefully we will have a baptism in the coming future.  Also this week we had a family history booth at the Wagin Woolorama which is basically a county fair with lots of sheep. So for two days we got to talk to people about Family Search and it was awesome. Anyway hope everyone was a good week. Love  Elder Nelson
G'day everyone. So it is now the last week of the transfer and it has gone by so fast. This week we have done a lot of finding. We were down in Katanning earlier and were knocking on doors and talking to people for hours and we were not having a lot of success. But instead of getting discouraged we kept going and at the last couple houses we met quite a few people who accepted a copy of the Book of Mormon. At the second to last house we met a lady that had been thinking about becoming more religious but didn't know what to believe. We gave her a Book of Mormon and explained how it helps answer some of the questions that we each have and that we can find out for ourselves the truth. She gladly accepted it and then thanked us for deciding to come to her house to talk to her. I love being an instrument in God's hands to share the gospel with others and see the joy it brings. Also this past week we went to a super small farm town and did some tracting there and m...
