Hello everyone,
So last
Monday we had zone p-day where 20 other missionaries came to a park in
our area and we played sports. Then on Tuesday we started our exchanges
with the district leader. My companion went with the district leader and
I got his golden he is training whose name is Elder Tiikana (pronounced
like Sikana). He is from Kiribati an island in the pacific. I taught
him how to make chili dogs. During exchanges we went to a follow up
lesson with one of the recent converts.
The next day
after exchanges we traveled down to the bottom of the stake and met with
the self reliance senior couple to help Elder Liao apply to BYU- H. He
had to translate his transcript for them because it was all in Chinese.
On
Saturday we had a really fun activity in the ward called a service
auction. So it started with a quiz they gave us with heaps of random
questions about church history, sports, and everything you can think of.
they scored our quizzes and our score was the number of dollars we had
for the auction. Everyone that came to the auction with a service that
they could offer like making food, electrical work, activities and other
things. And they auctioned these off. It was a lot of fun. One of the
councilors in the bishopric offered 1 year without talks in sacrament
which was pretty funny. The bishop said it was only valid after he gets
released.
On Sunday we got to teach a class of 12 year olds
and taught them the restoration. Then after church we dropped by one of
our investigators and taught him the plan of salvation. It was awesome
because he has real intent and is so keen to read the Book of Mormon.
Anyway I hope everyone has a great week.
Love Elder Nelson
