So this week was pretty awesome. So on Tuesday we had a district meeting near Perth so we took the train down. As we were traveling I started talking to a man sitting next to me. He said he was from Zimbabwe and that he was a devote Christian. We started talking about the food from Zimbabwe and then when I told him I had 6 siblings he told me that I must be from Africa. It was funny. Before we got off he gave us his business card and told us to give him a call.
The next day we had a termite inspection and then had dinner with one of the families in the ward. On Thursday
we had a short lesson with George our investigator. We read the Book of
Mormon with him and at the end of the lesson he prayed to know if it
was true. The Spirit was awesome.
Then on Friday
we had interviews with Pres Fife. After the interviews Elder Liao
worked with the self reliance senior couple to fill out his application
for BYU-Hawaii.
On Saturday
we had a service in the morning with our ward mission leader and a
couple other members of the ward. There is a couple moving into the ward
that are building a house so we went to put in the drainage. So we had
to dig 7 huge holes into the sand (there is only sand in WA, no dirt)
and trenches leading to the holes. So I definitely built some character
that day. (He is referring to the book/movie Holes)
One
thing that I have learned this week is that God will put us in the
places we need to be and helps us know how we can serve those around us.
I hope everyone has a good week.
Love
Elder Nelson
