This past week has been awesome. We have started teaching a couple families and have more that we will start teaching this week. I know that there are thousands of people prepared to hear the gospel everywhere.
Also this week we were finding and we met a cool lady from south Africa and were able to talk about the gospel with her. One of the questions that she had is why we need a prophet. So this week elder Alamoni and I have been discussing the roles of prophets and I am so grateful to have a prophet in these days. Prophet are a huge blessing and are essential to God's plan.
So a fun experience I had happened on Friday morning. for exercises I was doing my pushups and I heard a pop in my neck and it started hurting really bad. It got so bad that I couldn't move it. But after a blessing and some ibuprofen it feels great now. I looked pretty funny though having to move my entire body when I wanted to look around.
On Saturday we had a service for a family that is moving into our area. We went and helped them clean up the house and finish moving all the big things. As part of it we had to take apart the trampoline and it reminded me of all the times we have moved back home and had to take the tramp apart.
Then later that night we had a carnival at the chapel and had heaps of people come. Us missionaries were in charge of some of the games like bowling and giant Jenna and connect four. It was heaps of fun. And it was nice to see a lot of the people we are working with come.
On Sunday we had our ward conference. We had a really good talk from the bishop about setting and working to reach goals and then the stake President talked about service. After church we had a giant feed with a couple less active families. Then later there was a stake return missionary devotional for everyone in the stake that had served a mission and at the devotional they were all asked to wear their name badges. It was cool and us full time missionaries got to sing to start it off. They talked about regaining the same missionary spirit that they had on the mission and sharing the gospel with others. I loved it and it was a good reminder that the mission goes by fast and that now is the time I have to give everything to the Lord.
I hope everyone has a great week.
Love
Elder Nelson
