So our pday got pushed back to today because Monday was a public holiday. Anyway this past week has been awesome.
Last Monday we had a family home evening with one of the families in the ward. We shared the restoration lesson with them. They have a family member staying with them who is not a member and they later told us that after we left they started asking heaps of questions about the lesson we shared and the family was able to share more with them.

On Wednesday we had a nice pancake breakfast with one of the member families. Then later that afternoon we had our last English class meeting with Hoje before he heads back to China this week.

On Friday we had another lesson with Jade. I think I talked about her last week. She was baptized in Queensland before moving here to Kalgoorlie. We taught her and the kids the plan of Salvation and invited them to church this Sunday. Then later we had our interviews with the mission President. Because we are out in the country we did it using a video call app on our phones.

On Saturday was Australia day as well as my 18 month mark. It is crazy how fast the mission has gone. In the morning we went and helped one of the members and his neighbour who were taking down their fence and replacing it. Later that night there were fireworks for Australia day and they were shooting them off from the park across the road from out flat. It was pretty cool.

On Sunday the temple president and his wife came down from Perth for a visit. It was great because Jade and her daughter came and were able to listen to them speak. After church we had a ward lunch and then there were two baptisms for members children. Their spirit is always so strong when people are baptized.

On Monday we had a lesson with a lady from Papua New Guinea. We share with her how the gospel has been restored. After we taught her she told us that it answered some of her questions and was interested to hear more. She said she wanted to know if it was true. We look forward to keep teaching her. Then later we had dinner with this couple we met tracting. They had moved from New Zealand and had some relatives who were members of the church so they had lots of questions for us about the church. Then we invited them to take the lessons and they said yes. So we will be going back in a few weeks to start teaching them.

That's about it I think. I hope everyone has a great week.

Love,
Elder Nelson
